Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport that is popular worldwide.

Boxing, whose rules are easy for beginners to understand, is one of the most popular martial arts. Since the main focus is on striking techniques using the hands, the exchange of punches between strong fighters is a spectacular sight. It's sure to be very exciting.

There are many strong boxing athletes in various countries, but Mexico, the United States, the Philippines, etc. are often mentioned. Not only is the sport itself very popular, but the countries have produced many star athletes who have been active in major competitions such as the Olympics and the WBC World Championships.

Boxing is also popular with bookmakers. This is partly because it is an individual sport and is easy to predict, and there are many betting rules available, but perhaps the thrilling nature of the sport also makes it a good fit for bookmakers.

The main types of boxing betting

You can enjoy watching boxing even if you don't know the detailed rules. There are several types of bets that are easy for beginners to understand, even at bookmakers, so I will introduce them here.

Money Line (Win/Loss Prediction)
As with any sport, it's a competition to see who is stronger, so the easiest and simplest way to bet is to focus on the outcome of the match.
Money Line is a simple bet where you just predict "which player will win." If the player you predicted will win actually wins, you will receive a payout according to the odds.
KO/TKO/Decision Win Prediction
This is a more in-depth betting strategy. Previously, we predicted "which fighter will win," but this time we will predict "how each fighter will win."
Boxing is not about punching each other until the opponent can't get up, but there is a set number of rounds you can fight. If you knock down your opponent, you win by KO. If the referee decides to end the match even during the match, you win by TKO. If the match is not decided within the set number of rounds, you win by decision. There are various ways to win.
Over/Under Rounds (O/U Bet)
This is a bet to predict how long the match will last. Make your prediction based on stamina, resistance to being hit, punch strength, etc.
Predict whether the match will be longer or shorter than the specified number of rounds. It is said that the more skilled the veteran fighter is, the longer the match will likely be.
Predicting the winner of a specific round
This is a more difficult game than before, so try to accurately predict the number of rounds that will decide the winner.
Of course, the higher the difficulty, the higher the odds. Try it when you want to win big or are confident.
Draw prediction
This is a bet that will win if the match is decided by decision and both fighters end up with a draw.
It only predicts the result as "the scores at the time of decision are the same," so it does not include the very rare case of a draw due to a double knockdown, even though it is a draw.
There are very few cases of draws, so the chances of hitting the mark are quite low, but the odds are high.

How to win big in boxing betting

If you want to win big even if it means taking risks, you have no choice but to go for the longshot. Betting on a lower-ranked fighter will naturally increase the odds, but betting blindly may just result in repeated losses. Looking for a fighter who is inferior in overall strength but has some sharp strength will lead to a slightly higher winning rate.

Going for the one-shot is a dream bet, but if you lose, it's obviously the opposite. If you go for the longshot every time, you'll soon run out of funds.
Playing matches that you have a high chance of winning, even if it's not a sure thing, and then going for the longshot when it counts, and taking a long-term gamble, will lead to victory.
